Haci's Cafe Bar
Haci Yakar is the proprietor of this cafe and bar at the seaside and harbour resort of Marmaris in south west Turkey. The cafe is located on the main road in the Armutalan district of the town, close to many of the hotel and holiday appartment blocks (see map). Opposite the Villa Sol Appartments and near the Golden Orange.
Bar, UK football on screen, pool table; European, especially English, snacks and light dishes. Full English breakfasts.
Changes for the 2008 season included removal of the large kitchen area with bread oven. A new menu with snacks and lighter meals. What has not changed are Haci's breakfasts, excellent service and value for money. Still with sports TV, pool table and extensive bar list.
Haci has trained in the UK and has qualified in UK health and safety requirements. Haci's English wife, Gemma, helps him in the summertime. The photo above left is Haci at his sister's wedding in October 2007.
